The holidays are all about enjoying and drinking wine ... as it should be. Wine preservation, wine preservers and saving wine are not on the radar (understandably so), however, during this season of gift giving it really is worth rethinking. Why? .. well here are just 4 situations where the gift of wine preservation really comes in handy:
- Hostess has a party and opens (or wants to open) "mega" bottles of wine, then everyone leaves! Saving the wine to enjoy another day becomes of great value.
- You have that "single" friend who likes to enjoy his or her wine any given day, but just wants a glass or two. Now do it with no hesitation.
- Enjoy a great bottle more than once. You have a special bottle, you enjoy a glass and a half ... preserve it, and do that all over again (standard 750 ml bottle will allow you to do this three times).
- That "next" bottle - every bottle is not the exact right size for every occasion. With preservation, now it is .. again don't hesitate, open and drink what you want and save the rest.
As I mentioned in a previous blog, think about it. Do you know what your friends “really” like? Do they like red or whites? Sweet or dry? Californian, French, Italian? The options are endless.
By itself or with a bottle of wine, at your designated appropriate price, a wine preservation product (i.e. if VineyardFresh, just do not be surprised, a full can feels empty) will be the perfect wine gift.
